Hurricane Matthew in Daytona Beach, FL

Hurricane Matthew took a large toll on the East coast of Florida, among other states. Including this Daytona Beach Condominium which was affected entirely. SERVPRO® of North Miami was called in to assist numerous franchises working in the city to bring the area back to possible living conditions. The initial portion of the building consisted of drying out the units affected by detaching baseboards, drilling holes, and placing equipment. Yet, as the project went on, the crew brought it to the building manager’s attention that the risk of potential growth in the remaining affected units was increasing as the days passed. Immediately SERVPRO® was granted permission to remove all affected drywall instead of drying them out, to prevent further damage. The project was completed in two weeks and to the board’s satisfaction.
